Invent Baltics OÜ (IB) is an innovation consulting company for complete project life cycle management. People employed by the company demonstrate excellent track record in setting up international consortia for technology development and commercialisation, business consulting of technology based enterprises and management of international research projects. People employed by IB have previous experience from participating and coordinating a
number of EU Framework Programme projects and a long track record from the work as National Contact Point for Framework Programme. IB is a partner of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) offering innovation support to Estonian SMEs and research centres in technology transfer and international R&D cooperation .
IB has been facilitating the process of Estonian European Space Agency (ESA) membership and in turn more active participation in FP7 “Space” thematic priority. This experience has been extremely valuable to be brought over also to the BEAWARE project. During 2010-2012 IB was the administrative coordinator of the FP7 Space project NordicBaltSat (“Utilizing the existing and emerging potential of Nordic-Baltic dimension in critical satellite technologies and applications”) (http://www.nordicbaltsat.eu/), which mapped the space related technological expertise in Baltic States and Poland by developing a Joint Technology Programme for further R&D cooperation within FP7 and with ESA.
Currently, IB leads an internatrional project, which has set an objective to prepare guidelines for SME`s to facilitate their access to European aerospace and space industry. This project maps aerospace and space companies in Europe and in worldwide, which could represent potential partners for SMEs; organizes workshops on business development of SMEs for entering the aerospace value chains and relevant quality management issues and finally organizes study tours for SME`s to meet the top manufacturer(s) in aerospace industry.
From 01.01.2012, IB is the coordinator of FP7 funded Support Actions project NANOSAT ("Utilizing the potential of NANOSATellites for the implementation of European Space Policy and space innovation”). NANOSAT (http://www.fp7-nanosat.eu/) aims to contribute to a roadmap for space and innovation in Europe through studies and events in support of highly capable small satellites and thereby innovative space applications and new business models for space missions in Europe.
